Enthousiastic residents wanted!

Living in a prime location in Noord together with almost four hundred students is of course very pleasant. But with so many residents under one roof, it can be nice to have a few observant residents who ensure that it also remains a nice and livable residential building. That is why we are looking for a team of three student coordinators for Noorderkwartier who, for a monthly fee, are willing to keep an extra eye on things and who are responsible for keeping this brand new complex clean and safe.

Your role as a student administrator

As a student coordinator, your main task is to keep the Noorderkwartier clean, intact and safe. There are a number of other tasks associated with this:

• Monitoring and signaling unclean/very/safe situations in general areas in the Noorderkwartier, walking around at least once a week;
• You proactively monitor the proper use of public spaces such as the inner garden, common room, Laundrette and balconies and you address residents when they cause nuisance.
• You disseminate the living rules, rental procedures, waste policy and fire safety policy of De Key towards tenants.
• You identify what is going on among residents and make suggestions for improvement to the caretakers.
• You carry out project-based improvement actions in the complex in consultation with the manager.
• If you identify illegal residential behavior such as housing fraud, you have a duty to report to De Key.
• You send a monthly report with findings to the administrators. You also regularly consult with the student management team, and periodically with the administrators.

The ideal candidate is:

• A go-getter who takes initiative;
• Solution-oriented and careful and feels confident to address people about behavior;
• Available 8 to 10 hours per month from September.

We are also looking for board members for the residents' association to be founded! This is a different role, then you volunteer for community building in the building and organizing fun activities. Have a look here for more info.

NB. You cannot be both a student administrator and a board member in the residents' association. So if you are interested in both you should choose.
