Household waste
You can dispose your garbage in the underground containers. You find these near the bicycle storage. If you want to sort plastic, glass, paper etc. that is possible. You can find these containers throughout the city. For more information you can have a look at the city’s website.

Bulky waste
Bulky waste includes materials of items too large for household waste, such as electrical goods, appliances, furniture and garden cuttings. Every 4th Thursday of the month the pickup services stop by to collect the bulky waste. This is what you need to know when you place your bulky waste on the street:

• Put your waste outside on Wednesday, no earlier than 9:00 P.M. It will be collected around 7:30 A.M. the next day.
• Place your bulky waste on the special paving stones marked 'grofvuil'.
• Some areas do not have these paving stones. In that case, leave your bulky waste where the waste collection vehicles can easily reach it.
